Take  US-131 North to Exit 118.  (Howard City/Newaygo Exit)

M-82 is at the top of the ramp.

Go West.  (Left)  You are on M-82.

Turn right on Elm Street.  You are now heading North!

Stay on Elm Street.  You will go around a large curve to the left about 2 miles north of M-82.  Keep going.

You will now be winding down one of the prettiest roads in Newaygo County in the autumn!

At the bottom of the hill just after passing Dr. Conklin Park you will come to a blinker light.  Ya almost like civilization again!!!

Turn left at the Blinker Light.

Go around the bend.

Across the bridge.  (Use caution in the area to the east of the bridge as it sometimes can be very conjested on busy summer weekends with fishermen, our vans taking customers to the river, and tubers toting tubes and coolers to hit the water for their daily adventure.)

Just past the bridge you will see piles of tubes and a couple of older buses now used as tube storage. 

Turn right into our driveway, where on weekends you will be greeted and directed where to park your vehicle.

Use caution in our campground please when motoring.  Never know when a child, squirrel, cat, or a small child might dart out!  (In evenings you might even be fortunate enough to spot one of our local raccoons, skunks, or opposums crossing in front of you.  Never know what or who is gunna drop in for a visit up here to the north woods!)

Walk over to the office and we will do what we can to get you out on the river as fast as possible.

 

 

Take I-96 West.  (You know toward the direction that the SUN sets in the evening.)

When you get to US-131, just EAST of GRAND RAPIDS head NORTH toward Cadillac.

 

 

 

Take US-31 NORTH to APPLE AVENUE.

Make a RIGHT on APPLE AVENUE.  (M-46)

Stay on APPLE Avenue until it becomes one lane both east and west.  U R heading EAST now!

Roll up the windows as you pass THE MUSKEGON LANDFILL. 

Keep your eyes on the skies for seagulls.

About 15 miles EAST of Muskegon you will come to the M-46/M-37 Junction.  THERE IS A TRAFFIC LIGHT AT THIS JUNCTION.

Wait for traffic to clear as vehicles coming from the NORTH do not have to stop!

Make a LEFT HAND TURN onto M-37.

You are NOW heading toward the GREAT WHITE NORTH...only it is summer time now and the trees all have leaves and there are not 5 foot high snow drifts along the side of the road.

Go straight through the town of BAILEY...don't Blink or you might miss it.  (Want a donut because you are starving  from your long ride?  Stop just NORTH OF THE BLINKER LIGHT in BAILEY at the HILLTOP BAKERY for excellent baked goods...owner loves their Bavarian Cream Filled LONG JOHNS...so don't forget about HER!!!!)  (Last summer we had a group from out of state, and guess what?  They actually DID STOP at the Bakery.  Walked into my office one sunny morning and placed a brown paper sack on my desk.  Cautiously I opened the sack and low and behold...one of those delicious long johns met my view!  Sure was great with my morning coffee that morning....if you read this and you broght me that doughnut...I am sitting here smiling watching the winter snow fall and dreaming of another wonderful summer of meeting wonderful people!!!)

Pass right through the town of GRANT.

7 More Miles to go on M-37 and you will be in the town of Newaygo!

Go straight at M-82. (Past McDonalds, Burger King, and Wendys...oh yea...almost forgot Taco Bell.)

Go past the STATE POLICE POST...so SLOW DOWN.

Go down the hill

Around the curve downtown where if you look to the RIGHT you will see the VETERAN'S MEMORIAL.

GET IN THE RIGHT LANE as you CROSS THE BRIDGE OVER THE MUSKEGON RIVER.

Turn RIGHT at the TRAFFIC LIGHT just across the river.  (This is CROTON DRIVE)

Go up the hill.

Past the cemetery.

Through the straightaway.

Around Dead Man's Curve.

And roll on down the highway!

About 6 miles east of Newaygo you will come to US!  We are located on the north side of the road (the left) approximately 100 yards west of the Croton Bridge over the Muskegon River.

Turn into our driveway and prepare to begin your adventure into the northern Michigan wilderness.

 

 

 

Take US-131 South To M-82.  (Newaygo/Howard City Exit)

Go RIGHT ON M-82.
